The Catalina Story

Catalina Marquez was a pioneer of her time. Born in the early 1900s, Catalina led a simple life filled with moments shared with those she loved most. She was a natural hostess, gardener, and seamstress who loved creating beauty as much as she loved intimate gatherings. Her creative heart inspired generations that followed to create beauty and celebrate life in the most extraordinary of circumstances. Our founder, Haydee Duarte, is the third generation in this lineage and honors her legacy by designing and creating intimate gatherings that celebrate love and beauty.

HAYDEE DUARTE

Haydee (pronounced i’Day) is a former corporate leader with a background in managing multinational projects for Fortune 100 companies and luxury brands in New York City and abroad, including Ralph Lauren and LVMH.

Haydee's aesthetic reflects her love for the architecture and fine arts found in her favorite cities throughout Europe and Latin America. Her love for cultures extends to languages, and she is conversational in French, Italian, and Portuguese in addition to her native Spanish. A world traveler, Haydee currently lives in Florida with her husband and their three young children.
